Boo Bucket Calculator

Count the cost of your bucket hunt: purchases, travel, duplicates and spending per design.

Count the cost of your Boo Bucket collection

0–5 designs.

Include the meal and sales tax.

Blank means $0.

Blank means 0 minutes.

What counts toward the total?

All purchases made for this hunt, plus travel. We assume one bucket per purchase and count repeat designs as duplicates. The total includes food; it is not the value of the plastic buckets. Time is shown separately.

Use 0–1,000 purchases, 0–5 different designs, up to $1,000,000 for each money field and 0–100,000 minutes. No estimated prices or stock availability.

Five buckets. One surprisingly long receipt.

Add up what you spend chasing a collection: the purchases, the repeat designs and the travel. The result includes food and travel spending. It does not estimate what the buckets themselves are worth.

Enter the number of purchases that came with a bucket and how many different designs you collected. Use the average price you actually paid per purchase, including sales tax. Travel spending and time are optional; blank fields count as zero. Select Try example to fill a sample hunt, then Calculate. Your result can be copied with its assumptions.

The 2026 Halloween collection

McDonald’s announced five Disney Villains Boo Buckets for participating US restaurants from October 20, 2026, while supplies last. This calculator supports up to five different designs. It does not check stock, restaurant prices or the chance of finding a particular design.

CalcPuffin is an independent calculator and is not affiliated with McDonald’s or Disney.

How the total works

We assume one bucket per purchase and that all of those buckets belong to your collection. Trades, gifts, bundles and selling duplicates are outside this simple model. Do not count failed store visits as bucket purchases; you can include their travel cost and time.

The total is all spending associated with the hunt. It does not subtract the value of food you ate or purchases you would have made anyway. Time is reported in hours and minutes without assigning it a dollar value.

Example: eight purchases, five designs

Eight purchases at $6 each, plus $12 of travel, cost $60 in total. With five different designs, you have three duplicates and spent $12 per different bucket. An entered time of 90 minutes appears as 1 hour 30 minutes.

These prices are illustrative, not advertised restaurant prices. Use your own receipts.

Limits and rounding

All money inputs are USD with up to two decimal places. Decimal arithmetic preserves cents; spending per different bucket is rounded half-up to the nearest cent. For example, $0.31 divided between two different designs displays $0.16 each, so rounded per-item figures may not add back to the total.

Use whole numbers: 0–1,000 purchases, 0–5 different buckets and 0–100,000 minutes. Each money field accepts up to $1,000,000. The number of different buckets cannot exceed purchases. With no purchases, enter zero different buckets; per-bucket spending is then unavailable, even if you entered travel costs. With any bucket purchase, there must be at least one different design.
